KNIGHT, Jimmy Sr. – of Clio, age 73, died Friday, October 25, 2024, at Ascension Genesys of Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4PM until 7PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to pancreatic cancer research.
Jimmy Dale, Sr. was born February 27, 1951, in Haleyville, Alabama, to the late Felton and Virgie Knight. He honorably served in the United States Army and retired from Buick as a millwright after 35 years. In 1971, Jimmy married his beloved wife, Teresa Dinnan, and together they shared 53 years of marriage. Jimmy enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and he especially liked to go golfing. His family was his pride and joy, and he loved spending time with them whenever possible. Jimmy was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his Wife, Teresa Knight; Children: Jimmy Dale (Jennifer) Knight II, Diana (Greg) Jones, and Daniel Knight; Grandchildren: Hailey Halicek, Dominic Woods, Allison Woods, Garret Jones, Maddy Jones, Abby Jones; Great Grandson, Sebastian Halicek; Sisters: Kathy Lovett, Judy Frost, and Linda Long; Son-in-Law, Andy Woods; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his Daughter, Brenda Woods; Parents, Felton and Virgie; Siblings: Larry Knight, Kirby Knight, John Knight, and Peggy Knight; Nephews: Bradley Shilling, David Elliot, and Matthew Frost; Father and Mother-in-Law, Jerry and Evelyn Dinnan; In-Laws: Jerry Lee Dinnan, Norma Dinnan, and Eugene Lovett. |
