DARLEY, James Leo – of Flint, MI, age 74, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Robert C. Bacik celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in Dodge Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-8 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Jim’s memory.
Jim was born in Omer, MI on February 23, 1943, son of the late James and Rose (Auer) Darley. He married Nancy Marshall on February 22, 1969. Jim retired from General Motors Buick City as a Pipefitter in 1999 after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy; 2 daughters, Tonya Prieur and Allison (Mark) McCarty; 2 granddaughters, Chloe and Kendall McCarty; 3 sisters, Janet Komar, Jacque (Gary) Bradshaw and Joyce (Jesse) McKenna; 2 sisters-in-law, Gloria (John) Lowell and Kathy (Neil) Pittenger; brother-in-law, James Marshall; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Grace Marshall; son-in-law, Tedd Prieur.
