THOMPSON, Judy Ann-Of Burton, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 10am at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. The family will welcome family and friends on Sunday at 9am before the service. Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12noon-3pm and 4pm-7pm at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
Judy was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 24, 1954, the daughter of Joyce Stanley (Suttle) and Huston Lloyd, and stepfather Kenneth Stanley. She married the love of her life Dee Thompson on October 22,1980. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose love touched the lives of many. Judy was a lunch lady at Cody Elementary, but her #1 job was a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the casino, garage sales, and soap operas. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family. She was the anchor of the family keeping everyone connected no matter how far apart they may be. Judy would have long conversations providing advice, support and comfort. She gave unconditional love, wisdom, and quick wit. Judy’s love knew no bounds, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Surviving is her husband, Dee Thompson;
Children, Tommy (Mary) Thompson, Tammy Thompson, Gregory (Jennifer) Thompson;
5 grandchildren, Josh and Jake Lawrence, Dakota Schulz, Gavin and Sophia Thompson, and great granddaughter Izzabell Lawrence;
Siblings, Donna (Dick) Wilbur, Huston Lloyd Jr, Dorothy Prince, and Michael Stanley. Judy was an aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Stanley and brother Terry Lloyd.
