Anderson, Charlotte J. of Flint, age 91, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Western Hills Living following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Charlotte was born on May 11, 1924, in Howell, MI. She was the daughter of Grady and Mildred Hays. She moved to Flint as a child and resided there for the rest of her life. She was a graduate of Northern High School. Charlotte retired from Buick Motor Division where for many years she worked in data processing. After retirement she volunteered with the Hurley Medical Center Auxiliary, enjoyed occasional casino trips, and spent winters in Florida with family. Charlotte was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and also followed professional golf on television. She enjoyed playing golf with her family and friends. Other favorite activities included daily walks, reading, and playing cards and board games. She regularly got together with lifelong friends for card club. Charlotte was a loving wife and nurturing mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Roy Anderson, and her sister, Helen Brandt. She is survived by children, Dallas Wayne (Joana) Anderson of Bethesda, MD, Karen (Dean) Wait of Sarasota, FL, and Gayle (Kenneth) Leavitt of Flint; grandchildren, Brian Leavitt, Raquel Silva, Jacob Pagacz, Laura Pagacz, Adam (Stephanie) Wait, Ashley (Gregg) Wait; great-grandchildren, Monique, Adrianna, Diego, Jameson, Benjamin, Sienna, and Austin. Arrangements for cremation by Brown Funeral Home. Private inurnment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the kind caring staff at Western Hills Living and to caregivers Becky Tubbs and Corine Freeborg.
