Rowe, Sylvia M. of Flushing, age 75, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Flushing United Methodist Church. Rev. Debbie Line-Yencer will officiate. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center.
Sylvia was born in Flint, Michigan on May 31, 1940, the daughter of Marvin Paul and Bertie Mondaine (Hogsten) Turner. She married Ian Hepburn on April 23, 2004. Sylvia retired from Hurley Medical Center and has spent many years as a realtor with American Associates. She was active in her community, serving on the Flushing Planning Committee and as a former Flushing City Councilwoman. She was a member of FUMC. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, traveling, shopping, playing cards and was known as a gourmet cook and a decorator extraordinaire.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Ian; children, Debi (Perry) Wright, Greg Rowe and Cesar Rowe-Pesos, Paula (Ken) Tudor, Dana Rowe-Fleming; step-children Jennifer (Tim) Craven, Deborah Leader, Robert Hepburn; and grandchildren, McKenna (Luke) McKay, Rachel Fleming; Patricia, Robert, Katie, Jacqueline, John, Andrew; great-grandchildren Bryleigh and Deagan; dear friend, Bunny Sitko. |
