PICHE, JOYCE AUCLAIR age 73, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her home. A celebration of her life will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. Joyce was born November 26, 1942 in Port Huron, MI to parents Robert and Drusilla (Seeley) Carman and grew up in St. Clair, MI. She had a stellar teaching career and worked for the Beecher Community Schools as well as being instrumental in developing their Head Start program. Later, she worked as a principal for the Pinckney Early Childhood Center. Joyce received a Master of Arts in teaching and an Education Specialist degree from Oakland University. She had a true passion in the influencing of young minds. Joyce put her family first, who loved her dearly, and her biggest joy was spending time with them. She enjoyed traveling and visited Europe, Mexico, Asia and the Caribbean. Surviving are beloved husband Henry; children Michelle (Frank) Fortelka and Jeffrey Evans; grandchildren, Michael, Sean, Merissa, and Paige; sister Linda (Jon) Ercole; a nephew and niece; special cousins, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and former husband Roger Auclair. Contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries which she supported.
