Mulcahy, Thomas E. of New Lothrop, age 80, died Saturday, August 22, 2015, at his home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Thomas was born in Owosso, Michigan on May 7, 1935, the son of Lawrence and Julia (O'Brien) Mulcahy. He married Lauretta O'Dea on November 14, 1964 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2009. Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Buick City for over 37 years. Thomas was a lifetime member of St. Robert Catholic Church. His passion throughout his life was farming and enjoyed tractors, including antiques. Thomas also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Michael and wife Julie Mulcahy of Lake Orion, Thomas Mulcahy and fiancee Amy Clark of Flushing; grandchildren, Nicholas, Samantha, Ryan, Lauren, Zachary, and Ireland; brother, Pat and wife Judy Mulcahy; and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was also preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Mulcahy and brother, Leo Mulcahy.
