PERRY, Jack Herbert - Age 88, of Fenton, died Sunday, January 12, 2020. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland officiating. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430.
Jack was born February 26, 1931 in Flint, the son of Herbert and Helen (Johnson) Perry. He was a 1949 graduate of Flint Central High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. He married Lois Naomi Waldron August 30, 1951 in Flint and she preceded him in death January 14, 2014. He retired from AC Spark Plug as Chief Staff Project Engineer. After retirement he represented AC Spark Plug on the NASCAR circuit for 14 years. Jack was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He enjoyed car and boat racing and watching MSU sports; he also enjoyed walking his dog in the woods everyday.
Surviving are: his children, Kim (Michael) English of Fenton, Denise Perry of Fenton, and Yvonne Perry of Byron; grandchildren, David Perry, Nick English (Amber Beasley) of Flint, Mandi (Michael) English-Greshock of Fenton, Genny (Rob) Perry of Fenton, and Becky (Jamie) Sawyer of Fenton; great grandchildren, Nicole, Morgan (Ben), Miranda, and Trinity; and great-great grandchild, Taylor; sister, Lois Craig of Flint; and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, William Herbert Perry; and great grandson, Tyler Jenkins. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
