SNIDER, John W. – of Davison, age 86, passed away November 6, 2016 at The Cottage of Davison. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Davison United Methodist Church, 207 E. Third St., Davison; Rev. Kevin Miles officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the funeral home and 10-11 AM Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison United Methodist Church – Endowment Fund. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jim Walter and the nurses and staff of Genesys Regional Medical Center, The Cottage of Davison and All Americans Home Health & Hospice Care for their loving and compassionate care.
John was born in Elkton, MI on March 18, 1930, son of the late Frank and Ethel (Erb) Snider. John married Virginia Powell on September 17, 1949. He retired from Buick in 1982, after 32 years of service. John enjoyed golfing, traveling and sharing his love with his family. He was a handy man, carpenter and builder.
John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ginny; children, Brad L. (Valerie) Snider, Andrea K. (Lance) Harper, Chris A. Snider, Jeffrey J. (Diana) Snider; grandchildren, Stacie (Ben) Whitlock, Brian (Lauren) Snider, Katie Harper, Kristen Snider, Johnathan Snider, Amanda Snider (fiancé, Dustin Doren), Aaron Snider; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hogan, Joseph, Gemma and Abel. He was preceded in death by sisters, Vivian Snider and Agnes Bernhardt.
