RUNYAN, Wallace Frank - Of Mt. Morris, age 85, died Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Maple Woods Manor.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Reverend Don Dennis officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Saturday and Sunday and 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Wallace was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 26, 1934, the son of the late John and Fern (Senevey) Runyan. On May 16, 1953, he married JoAnn King at Union Hall in Pontiac, Michigan. Wallace was in the grocery business for 42 years "Great Giant" and retired in 1996. He was a Sunday school teacher for primary children for 25 years. Wallace was a member of Trinity Assembly of God and Higher Praise Church in Grand Blanc.
Surviving are wife, JoAnn;
children, Sandra Lee (David) Wheeler and Matthew Runyan;
grandchildren, Nichole (Bruce) Geary, Rachelle, Allyce (Colin) Churchill;
great-grandchildren, Angelina, Whitney, Justin, Shi-Ann, Brianna, Olivia, Caden and Jayden;
great-great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Adriannah, A’miyah, Analyuh and Isaiah;
and brother, Jack (Edna) Runyan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fern Runyan, baby daughter, Wallyne Jo, daughter, Dawn Link and brother, Warren and Walter.
