Husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, January 20th, 2019 at his home with family by his side. He was age 68. Russ was born on December 17th, 1950 in Portage, IN to the late Samuel and Patricia (Griffin) Baker. He was married to Tracey Leach on July 20th, 1992; she survives him. Russ owned and operated Tiffany’s Food and Spirits for 30+ years. He was an avid fisherman, motorcyclist, metal artist and collector, and he enjoyed spending time in his workshop with family and friends.

Surviving besides his wife Tracey are two sons and two daughters: Eddie Baker of Frankenmuth, MI, Emilie Baker of Frankenmuth, MI, Shauna (Michael) Meinecke of Fort Worth, TX, and Michael (Lindsey) Mohr of Millington, MI; grandchildren Henrick and Everett Mohr, Samuel Stark, and Derby Meinecke; brothers and sisters Sheri (Dan) Sellers, Shelly (Wendell) Ruwersma, and Dan (Linda) Baker; dearest cousins; Bill (Pegi) Baker, Becky Baer-Graham and many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Russ was preceded in death by the grandparents who raised him.

According to Russ’ wishes, cremation has taken place. Russ’ family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 22nd from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a private family service to follow. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Russ Baker Scholarship Fund for students pursuing skilled trades.
