Iris Colleen Bazzell, age 92, of Burton, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, April 30,2024. Iris passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Iris was born on January 2, 1932, to her late parents Forrest and Gertie Lee, in Campbell Missouri. At the age of 15, Iris found the love of her life Russell Bazzell. They married in 1947 in Pocahontas Arkansas, and were married for 70 wonderful years until the lord took Russell in 2017. Iris was a homemaker and enjoyed her time in the home. She was active in all of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Iris enjoyed tending a little garden every summer, sewing, crocheting, and reading in her free time. Iris was very much loved by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.
Iris is survived by her 2 daughters Charlotte (Les) Greer and Pamela Earns, grandchildren Russell (Denise) Pierson, Terrie (James) Stratton, Eric Earns, and Jerad Earns; great grandchildren, Amanda and Kristoffer Pierson, Morgan (Taylor) McPhail, James Stratton II Gavin Earns, Evan, Jasmine, and Iris Earns, and great great grandchild Ashton.
Iris was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Gertie Lee, her husband Russell, and son in law James Earns.
A funeral visitation for Iris will be held Thursday May 9, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. A funeral service will occur Friday May 10, 2024 at 11:00am, at 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. An interment will occur at Evergreen Cemetery, 3415 Hill rd Grand Blanc Michigan 48439. |
