Arthur Gean Allen Gray, 79, of Davison, formerly of Flint died Friday, September 4, 2015.
Arthur was born September 18, 1935 in Kingsport, TN to parents John and Margaret (Jennings) Gray. He graduated from St. Helen’s High School in Oregon. He married Lorna June Jones on August 9, 1958 at the Travis Air Force Base in California. Art served his country in the US Air Force. After his 20 year military career, Art owned and operated restaurants in Lake Orion, Flint and Crystal Falls. He published two local magazines: the “One of a Kind” and the “Menu Magazine”.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Lorna “June” Gray; daughters: Gaylene Turner and Cherrie Reynolds, both of Davison; four grandchildren: Krystal, Thomas, Stephen & Zachary; one great grandchild: Allison; five sisters and three brothers. Art is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Gene Gray; son-in-law, Edward Reynolds; one sister; two brothers; two infant siblings and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Art’s funeral service will be 11:00AM Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Muir’s. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard.
