MICHAEL, Ruth Carolyn (Anderson) – of Montverde, Florida, formerly of Davison, MI, age 89, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Clermont, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home.
Ruth was born in Flint, Michigan on January 8, 1929, daughter of the late Axel W. and Clara (Hanson) Anderson. She married Robert L. Michael on April 1, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2008.
Ruth’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were extremely special to her. She was also a homemaker, golfer, bowler, and card player. She loved water aerobics at Davison Athletic Club. She was a life-time member and past president of the Does of #222 in Grand Blanc, MI. Ruth was a member of Salem Lutheran Church most of her life and sang in the choir for many years.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Ruthann M. (Ronald) Blom; son, Phillip L. (Candy) Michael; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
