Rose, Delores M. "Dawn" – of Flushing, age 72, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church – 4494 N. Linden Rd. in Flint. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 6-8 PM, Friday from 3-8 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
Delores was born August 6, 1943, in Athens, Alabama to the late Clarence and Anna (Kilpatrick) Garries. She married Walter W. Rose on October 16, 1969. She had resided in Flushing for over 48 years. Delores was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was active in children's ministries. She also loved spending time with her family and loved animals.
Surviving are: Husband, Walt; 3 children: Shawnda McCullough of Atlanta, GA., Milanda Taylor of CA., and Wally (Jennifer) Rose of Hadley; 8 grandchildren: Devin, Thadd, Desiree (Justin), Dominique, Travis, Tyler, Gracie, and Hannah; Great-grandson, Micah. 4 sisters in law: Shirley Bill) Wirgau, Virginia Salyers, Lorena (John) Welch, and Kathy Rose-Shanks.
