JACKSON, Willis Dae - Age 90, of Flushing, died Saturday, March 14, 2020. No services have been scheduled at this time. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the New Liberty Cemetery, 812 Greene 520 Rd., Marmaduke, Arkansas.
Willis was born on March 17, 1929 in Marmaduke, Arkansas the son of John and Viola (Sanders) Jackson. He was raised in Marmaduke and attended New Liberty Church. Willis married his childhood sweetheart, Verneda Fahr on September 30, 1950 in Marmaduke. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War for 5 years until his honorable discharge. Willis worked for GM as a die setter for 30 years until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Verneda Jackson; 7 children, Debbie (Robert) Swearingen, Sam (Roberta) Jackson, Willis (Diana) Jackson Jr., Tim (Sharon) Jackson, Doren (Angie) Jackson, Loren (Susan) Jackson and Tammy (Steve) Sams; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Bob (Martha) Jackson, Randall (Debbie) Jackson and Opal (Wayne) Reagan.
Willis was preceded in death by his son, Dale Jackson; parents, John and Viola Jackson; 3 brothers, Wayne, Wilburn and Merritt; and sister, Ruby.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 20 grandchildren for their care and comfort.
