Grover Lee Tilson
Age 84 of Owosso passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 3pm, at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Merril officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12pm until the time of service.
Grover was born September 16, 1939 in Marion, Virginia , the son of William Ernest (Doc) and Grace (Conklin) Tilson.
He attended Owosso High School the class of 1959.
Grover was a member of The Eagles Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a love for animals and for nature, spending time fishing, feeding the deer, squirrels, ducks and geese. Grover's family was the most important to him, especially his great-granddaughters. His little Kora was considered "The apple of his eye".
He married the love of his life JoAnn Marie Chrenko in Owosso on August 6, 1960. She predeceased him on June 11, 2024
Grover worked at Johnson Control for over 35 years before retiring.
Grover is survived by his children Denise Lawrence, Terri Ryon, Thomas Tilson and Ernie (Megan) Tilson; grandchildren Tim Lawrence, Andrew Lawrence, Taylor Gehrcke, Kayla Gehrcke, Bridget Ryon and Brooke Ryon; great-grandchildren Layla, Jozie, Rayna and Kora; and many other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, JoAnn Tilson; son, Joey Tilson; parents, William and Grace Tilson.
