HEWITT, Virginia E. – of Clio, age 91, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center of Flint. Honoring Virginia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Virginia was born February 19, 1928 in Bridgeport, Michigan to the late Norman and Gladys (Tracy) Morse. She married Norman W. Myers on April 5, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1967. Virginia later married Jack R. Hewitt on June 23, 1967 in Clio. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2008. She retired from the Clio Area School District in 1987 with 17 years of service. Virginia was a member of the Montrose Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #351. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, bird watching and trips to the casino. Above all, Virginia loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: Ronald (Margaret) Myers, Judy Severence, Gaye (John) Dekalita, April (Allen) Bartz, Steven (Sandy) Myers, Mark (Judy) Myers, Jody Gauthier, and Brian (Renee) Hewitt; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; Special friends: Vita and Leah.
