MAYNER, Dorothy Mae – Of Swartz Creek, age 86, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Swank Assisted Living, surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jacob Salem officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed cooking.
Dorothy became a spitfire in her later years, adding a little spice to everyday life. She was a central figure in our family and will be deeply missed.
Surviving are children, Teresa and husband Thomas Bauman,
Sandra Pettigrew,
Steve,
Debbie and husband Timothy McLaren;
grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Brian Arnold, Jeffrey and wife Leslie Bauman, Cort and wife Christina Pettigrew, Kara Pettigrew, Tess Mayner, Sydney Crumpacker (Devon) Timothy (Jodi) May and Amanda (Andrew) May;
11 great-grandchildren, Alexander, Emilia, Lily, Dylan, Parker, Dylan, Lexie, Teddy, Kallum, Lylah and Kyren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; great-grandson, Tyler; six brothers and three sisters.
