GURD, Darlene J. -- Age 65, of Otisville, died August 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wednesday August 7 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be 11AM until time of service on Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Darlene Gurd Memorial Fund c/o Sharp Funeral Homes.
Darlene was born September 29, 1953 in Flint the daughter of Walter and Muriel ( Newcombe) Gurd. She was a graduate of Lakeville High School. She retired from Andrico's in Fenton where she had worked for many years. Darlene loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren
She is survived by her son, Daunt (Melissa) Hyder of West Branch; 3 grandchildren, Brittany, Harley, Perry; great grandchildren, Daunt, Alaster; longtime partner Kenny McDaniel; siblings, Mike (Wendy) Gurd, Debbie (Lenny) Core, Tom (Diana) Plaine; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; grandson, Daunt III; son, Perry Hyder; brothers, Rodney Gurd and Mark Gurd.
