Mary Ann C. (Lieber) Wurmlinger of Clio, formerly of Lapeer, age 87, was called home by her Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

She was born January 23, 1932 in Algonac, Michigan to the late Henry and Theresa (Lambing) Lieber. She graduated from Croswell High School in 1948. Mary Ann married the love of her life, Joseph Wurmlinger on June 28, 1952 in Croswell, Michigan. Her caring and compassion for others was woven throughout her life.

Mary Ann excelled as a wife and mother of three while also working outside the home. She was a Brownie troop leader for her daughters and obtained her realtor license all while working for Dr. John Thompson in Lapeer as a Physician’s Assistant, retiring in 1990, after 27 years. After retirement she turned her hobby of antiquing into a business venture and opened Mary Ann’s Trinkets and Treasures Antique Shop. She was a lifelong Catholic who practiced her faith by sharing her kindness with others as well as her delicious baked goods!

She was passionate about cooking and baking and was always in pursuit of perfecting and inventing her recipes! She loved gardening and bowling, as well as decorating her home and traveling with her husband especially to their winter home in Mesa, AZ. Most of all, Mary Ann cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband Joseph of 66 years, Daughters, Vicki Eldridge and Tina (Mike) Paone. Son, Randy (Linda) Wurmlinger. Grandchildren; Eric, Nicole, Corinne, Aaron, Cerise, and Joseph. 8 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers & sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the friends and family who shared their love and to the staff at Angel Manor for their compassionate care of Mary Ann during her final days. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday April, 17th at 11:00 at St. Charles Helena Catholic Church in Clio with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.

Family will receive visitors at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
