BADGLEY, Patrick John - Age 22, of Linden, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Kurian Kollapallil and Fr. David Harvey Concelebrating. Burial immediately following at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Epilepsy Foundation to Michigan, 25200 Telegraph Road, Suite 110, Southfield, MI 48033.
Patrick was born July 9, 1991 in Flint the son of Timothy Scott and Andy Marie (Rubel) Badgley. He was a 2009 graduate of Linden High School where he played basketball, ran cross country and was currently a History Major at Saginaw Valley State University. Patrick was so special that he touched the lives of everyone he met. He was the love of his Mom, Dad and brothers life. Patrick coached youth basketball. He had a gift working with children.
Surviving are: his parents, Timothy and Andy Badgley of Linden; brother, Michael Badgley and his girlfriend Jenna Darnell of Fenton; grandparents, Helen Badgley of Frankfort and John and Evelyn Rubel of Linden; aunts and uncles, John Rubel of Chicago, IL, Matt Rubel and friend Krista Mayhew of Swartz Creek, Mike and wife Joy Rubel of Swartz Creek, Mary and husband Scott Winchester of San Diego, CA, Gregory and wife Rose Badgley of Frankfort, Mark Badgley of Ludington, and Janice Badgley of St. Louis, MO; and several cousins.
