LOWE, Peggy Sue – of Burton, MI, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2019 with her family at her side. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church, 7306 E. Atherton Rd., Davison; Pastor Shawn Kook officiating. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-8 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Schools.
Peggy was born in Pikeville, KY on November 4, 1936, daughter of the late Riley and Phoebe (Syck) Collins. She married Albert Theodore Lowe on August 31, 1956 who preceded her in death on February 11, 2016 after nearly 60 years of marriage. She started her journey of faith at Bentley Baptist Church and later in 1974, she moved to Faith Baptist Church. She served as a youth ministry leader, nursery worker, and a Sunday school teacher. Peggy loved spending time outside and riding her bicycle. She enjoyed sports including volleyball, church softball league and bowling, but most of all spending time with her family. She took great pride in her family and loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Peggy was a homemaker for most of her life while raising her children.
Peggy is survived by her children, Kenneth T. (Linda K.) Lowe, David D. (Heidi Jörg) Lowe, Douglas E. (Amy L.) Lowe, Richard T. (Mary L.) Lowe, Patricia S. (Richard S.) Knapp, Robert N. (Ann Marie) Lowe; 20 grandchildren, Amanda, Kristen, Ken Jr., Emily, Joshua, Lyndsey, Adam, Sarah, Andrew, Ricky Timmy, Christopher, Jennifer, Becca, Katie, Jonathan, Jordan, Jessica, Theodore and Chris. 9 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Jean (Phillip) Anderson; sister-in-law, Bernice (Joe) Paulo. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Don Collins, Oscar Collins, Patti Justice and Joyce Eisinger.
