KISCHNICK, Kenneth “Ken” E. – of Clio, age 76, died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at McLaren – Flint. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, March 22, 2019 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 520 Butler Street, Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Burial to follow in West Vienna Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 2PM until 5PM, 6PM until 8PM and on Friday at the church from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Messiah Lutheran Church or the family.

Ken was born January 1, 1943 in Blumfield Township, Michigan to the late Norman and Erma (Hess) Kischnick. He graduated from Reese High School in 1960. Ken married the love of his life, Regina Jones on August 17, 1963. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2017. He was the owner and operator of Kens Hair Styling in Flint. Ken retired on December 21, 2018, he had been cutting and styling hair for over 55 years. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Ken was also a member of Island Mill Hunt Club, the National Rifle Association, and previous member of the Flushing Horseshoe League. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing euchre and traveling. Ken was an avid outdoorsman and participated in all types of hunting.

Surviving are: Children: Julia (Dan) Embury, Beverly (Doug) Mobley of Cadillac, Brian (Cindy) Kischnick of Flushing; Grandchildren: Cody (Cori) Kischnick, Hunter (Taylor Montague) Kischnick, River (Mallory Werlinger) Kischnick, Brandon Mobley, Jac Rottiers, Bryan Embury, Beth (Jessie Mulsco) Embury, Hope (Levi) Leveque; 7 Great grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Betty Kischnick and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Harvey Kischnick, Edward Kischnick, and Arnold Kischnick; Sister: Marian Kischnick; Inlaws: Betty Kischnick, Sue Kischnick, Freddy Jones, Bob Jones, Donald Jones, Leona Jones, Mary Jones, and Roy Reif.
