GIBSON, Grace L. – of Flint, age 94, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 12PM Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Trinity Assembly of God. 4363 W. Mt. Morris Rd. in Mt. Morris. Her grandson, Pastor Matthew Gibson officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM.
Grace was born September 16, 1921 in Acorn, Missouri to the late Marion and Anna (Harris) Gwaltney. She married Homer “Earl” Gibson on November 16, 1942. He preceded her in death September 12, 1998. Grace loved her Lord and was very involved with her church, Trinity Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and was very loving and giving. Grace never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone she knew.
Surviving are: Sons, Roger E. (Jacalyn) Gibson of Burton, Dennis (Kathy) Gibson of Goodyear, Arizona and Greg (Beth) Gibson of Traverse City; 6 grandchildren: Roger, Michael (Terri), Dustan (Jaime), Jesse, Matt, Katie (Jason); 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Lloyd and Leon. Grace was also preceded in death by her sisters: Verda, Goldie, Nellie and Ruby; Brothers: Dale, Bill and Carlos.
