HARRISON, Joan Marie (Greer-Neil) – of Flint, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. A Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; cremation will follow the service. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries.
Joan was born in Flint, MI on May 3, 1928, daughter of the late John and Cannie (Barham) Greer. She married Melvin Neil in Flint, MI on October 29, 1949 and preceded her in death. Joan married Osmond Harrison in Flint, MI on August 28, 1982 and preceded her in death. She volunteered at Carriage Town Ministries.
Joan is survived by children, Alan D. Neil, Sharon (Ronald) McNew; granddaughter, Ann (Kyle) Matzelle; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Scott Neil; brothers, John Greer, Oval (Summers) Greer, Jim Greer, Jack Greer, Woodrow Greer; sisters, Pat Balla, Mary Doll.
