SCHIPANSKY, Agnes L. – of Davison, age 102, passed away September 8, 2012 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison; Reverend Todd Frusti officiating. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Agnes was born in McGrath, Minnesota on December 6, 1909, daughter of the late Gust and Mary (Hengel) Weiss. Agnes Weiss married Edward Schipansky on September 7, 1937, in Flint, MI. Edward preceded her in death on March 25, 1977. Mrs. Schipansky was the last charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison. She enjoyed gardening, reading and cooking.
Agnes is survived by her sons, Ronald (Linda) and James (Linda); 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Edward, and siblings, Gust, Bill and Clara.
