HALL, Roy – of Burton, age 86, passed away on May 1, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Dennis Rouse officiating. Interment, with military honors, will take place following the service in Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-7PM Monday, May 6, 2024, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flint First Wesleyan Church.
Roy was born in Salem, AR on December 6, 1937, son of the late Vertis and Bernice (Mansfield) Hall. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. Roy married Colette Sawade in Flint, MI on June 9, 1959. He retired from General Motors and Joel’s Carz. He enjoyed eating out and going to every garage sale he could find. Roy was “shade-tree” mechanic and loved wrenching on vehicles. He never met a stranger, he talked to everyone.
Roy is survived by his wife, Colette; son, Roy (Cynthia) Hall; daughter, Cheryl (Cleadous) Lanter; grandchildren, Curtis, Craig and Corey Lanter, Vincent and Sophia Hall; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Leveda Kauffman; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ella Jane Cherry and Barbara Sue Freeman; great-grandson, Dylan Baker.
