ROUSSEAU, Hugh E. – of Davison, age 65, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan with Fr. Gary McInnis officiating. Burial follows at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Hugh was born in Flint in 1946 to the late Hugh and Kelen Rousseau. He married Jean Starkey on May 30, 1967 and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2010. He retired from General Motors in April of 2002, after 30 years of service as an electrician, photographer, and video producer. After retiring, he was very active with Vertigo Productions, Clio Cast and Crew, and the Flint Community Players. He also was an extra in national films. He enjoyed singing with the Holy Redeemer Choir, St. Roberts Choir, Show-to-go singers, and also played in bell choirs. He enjoyed time with his family, camping, traveling, and could often be found at Leo’s. Surviving are: children: Karen (Bruce) Whitman, Brian (Nancy) Rousseau, and Steven (Cristal) Rousseau; grandchildren, Alison, Jacob, Brendan, and Anna; and mother-in-law, Alma Starkey.
