TYMRAK, Floyd C. - Age 95, of Linden, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 3:30 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9450 Duffield Rd., Gaines with Fr. Jonathan Perrotta celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden where a scripture service will be held at 6:30PM. Thursday evening. Interment services and veteran honors will take place 10 AM Monday, September 4, 2017 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice. Mr. Tymrak was born October 17, 1921 in Saginaw, the son of Michael and Nancy (Ciolek) Tymrak. He was a 1940 graduate of Flint Northern High School and lived in Flint and Gaines most of his life. Mr. Tymrak was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the 6th Troop Carrier Squadron. He owned and operated Michigan Air Cleaner. Mr. Tymrak was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Polish Legion. He married Genevieve Lienczewski in 1946 and she preceded him in death in 1965. He married Mary Beth Smart in 1969 in Gaines and she preceded him in death in January 2017. Surviving are: He and Mary Beth's combined family consisting of children, Marie, Cecelia, Michael, Thomas, John, William, James, Margaret, Stephen and Stuart; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Tymrak was preceded in death by daughter, Annette Mars; and brother, Paul Tymrak. The family extends a special thank you to his caregivers who provided him with dignity and love while allowing him to stay in his home the last months of his life.
