GILLMER, Louise A.- of Davison, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at her residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday, December 20, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison. Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8PM Wednesday and 12-3PM and 5-8PM on Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Thursday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Louise was born in Detroit, MI, on February 8, 1923, daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret (Curran) Diamond. She married Chuck Gillmer on May 19, 1943 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1976. Louise was a founding member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was very active in her church community. She worked in the Payroll Department at GM, retiring in 1989.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Pattricia (Roger) A. Gillmer-Cunningham and Theresa Zillich; grandchildren, Patrick (Darcy) Cunningham, Connie (Mark) Sims, Tammy (Chris) Koczara, Shawn (Katherine) Cunningham and Stephonnie (Donald) Dunkelberg; 12 great-grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her son, Edwin Charles Gillmer and sister, Mary M. Diamond.
