McKAY, Carl H. – of Clio, age 89, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Maple Woods Manor. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Don McKay officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call a the funeral home on Saturday from 3-7 PM.
Carl was born May 21, 1926, in Flint to the late William and Lileth (Mallory) McKay. He lived in the Flint area most of his life retiring to Bitely, MI. He served in the US Army. Carl retired from Buick in 1975. He was a member of the UAW Local #599 and the VFW. He enjoyed playing Bingo and target shooting.
Surviving are: Siblings: William (Sandra) McKay of Mt. Morris, Leonard McKay of Montrose, Mary Weatherford of Flint; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: Wife, Joan in 2012; Siblings: Eleanor Hubbard, Archie, Maynard and Tim.
