SHIREY-PETTIT, Carol A. - of Flint, age 73, passed away November 17, 2014 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Friday, November 21, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Thursday and 9-10 AM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Carol was born in Flint, MI on September 18, 1941, daughter of the late Franklin and Clarentine (Ross) Johnson. She worked at Nu-Vision Optical, where she met many friends.
Carol is survived by children, Raynee and Gary Truett, Curt Shirey; grandchildren, Shelli (Josh) Galloway, Curtis, Rick Ward, Seth, Brandi, Sheldon, Logan Shirey; great-granddaughters, Ally Rose and Willow; sister, Clare (Harry) Elmore; sister-in-law, Marlene Johnson; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Pettit; son, Kerry Shirey; brothers, Loran and Wilfred Johnson.
