BARNABY, VERN KEITH age 79, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 with his family by his side, at the Genesys Regional Medical Center. Memorial Services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd. Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Chaplin Hank Messing officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. with a Masonic Memorial at 2:00 P.M. Vern Was born November 10, 1936 in Flint, MI to parents Vern and Kathryn (DeLong) Barnaby.
Vern worked as a tool and die maker at General Motors for 38 years. Vern had a passion for bowling and made many friends through the various leagues he was on. Time spent at Canada Creek Ranch was his serenity. Touring the property, hunting and spending time with his family was how he enjoyed to spend his time. If he was not bowling or at the ranch you could find him in his barn doing wood work or reading a western novel. He was a member of Morning Star #556 and Grand Blanc, Masonic #571 Lodges, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple and the Shrine Security Unit.
Vern was survived by loving wife Sandra, by his children Lynda (Jim) Carpenter, James (Zach) Barnaby, and Verne (Annette) Barnaby, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and sister Madelyn Nold. He was proceeded in death by daughter Lory Lou, and sisters Margaret Cook and Jean Jones.
