Keith, Dale L – of Montrose, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at McLaren Flint surrounded by his family. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 4PM until 8PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designations.
Dale was born March 25, 1938, in Mount Morris, MI. Dale was married to his beloved wife, Alice, on August 3, 1957, and together they shared a beautiful journey filled with love and companionship. Dale led a fulfilling life, retiring from the telecommunications industry where he earned numerous accolades for his hard work and dedication. He was a man of faith and was a valued member of the Global Methodist Church. Dale was passionate about fixing things, working on puzzles, woodworking, and helping Alice with her quilts. He enjoyed spending his days golfing, fishing, and "Deer Hunting.” He was inducted into the Montrose Hall of Fame with the 1954 Baseball team. He was a man of few words but his actions spoke volumes. He was the first person to say “I can help you with that,” and because of his generous heart, he became so special to so many people. He was his grandchildren's biggest cheerleader, supporting and encouraging them in all their endeavors. He had a sweet tooth, especially for pecan ice cream, and enjoyed indulging in desserts. More than anything he was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, papa, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are: Loving wife of 67 years, Alice Keith; Children: Kraig (Shelly) Keith, Karla Keith, Kris (Brenda) Keith, Kendra (Gary) Wilson; Grandchildren: Aaron (Valerie), Brandon (Kaitlyn), Camron (Katie), Amber (Dave), Ryan (Andra), Rebecca (Alex), Evan (Ruthie), Nicholas (Anna), Colton (Ryleigh), Alison (Devin), Zachary, and Kassandra; Great Grandchildren: Thomas, Henry, Max, Vivian, Cayden, Reagan, Dalton, Granger, Harper, Willow, and Hudson; Sister, Carolyn Atherholt; He was blessed with special nieces and nephews.
