June Marilyn Godlesky -- age 81, of Flushing, died October 3, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated with Fr. Thomas Firestone at 11 AM Saturday, October 11 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint. Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 1-8 Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will also be at 10AM until the time of Mass at the church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, St. John Vianney Catholic School or Powers Catholic High School. June was born in Flint on October 9, 1932 the daughter of Arthur and Blanch Wiles. She graduated from St. Matthew Catholic School in 1950. June was married by Fr. Luke Powers to Anthony Godlesky on April 25, 1953 at St. Matthew Catholic Church and they celebrated their lives together for over 59 incredible years before her beloved “Tony” passed in December 2012. June’s life was her deep faith and her undeniable love for her family. Surviving are her children and best friends: son Michael (Valarie)Godlesky; daughters, Karen(Dennis)Lazar, Kathy(Brian)Stuk , Kimberly Doyle and Marybeth(Joseph)Snell; grandchildren, Brian, Nicholas and Lauren Godlesky, Daniel, Jennifer and Dennis Lazar, Adam(Megan) and Jill Kimosh, Jacob and Jason Doyle and Riley and Joslyn Snell; great-grandsons Blair Godlesky and Aiden and Mason Kimosh; sister-in-law Patricia White. In addition to her husband Anthony, June was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Blanch Wiles; sister Patricia Wiles and precious daughter Jill Marie Godlesky.
