Passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 29, 2013 at home, surrounded by his family. Age 80 years. He was born on June 15, 1933 in Owosso to the late Leo and Louise (Bovine) Krupp. He married Jeanette Cramer on November 28, 1953, she preceded him in death on October 12, 2006.
Tom retired from GM SPO Plant in Swartz Creek in 1989 with 38 years of service and also served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a lifelong farmer and self employed as an excavator.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a founding member of the Maple Grove Fire Department and former member of the Maple Grove Police Department.
In his spare time, Tom enjoyed pheasant and rabbit hunting, spending time with his family and friends and going to Sand Lake.
Those left to mourn him are his five children; Rick (Cathy) Krupp, Pam (Ross) Lake, Tom (Charlene) Krupp, Steve (Stefanie Takacs) Krupp and Lori (Michael) DeMember, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a very special friend, an angel to the Family, Irene Cooper. one brother; Pete (Jean) Krupp, one sister; Barb (Bob) Gizowski, one sister in law; Jean Krupp and brother in law; Bob Potter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, two daughters; Theresa at birth and Susan in 2005, brothers and sisters, Devere Krupp, Helen (Clete) Gross, Gerri (Leo) Gross, Joyce (Leo) Bitterman, Bob (Rose) Krupp, Jack Krupp and Pat Potter.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm and at the Church Tuesday after 9:00 am. Fireman memorial service will be 6:30 pm and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:00 pm on Monday. Memorials may be contributed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Child Abuse & Neglect Council of Saginaw County. www.wmartinfuneralhome.com
