Gabriella Pearl Chinonis, age 10 of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully at home, in her mother’s arms. She was surrounded by her daddy and brothers. Bella was born on December 9, 2008. She was diagnosed at birth with 1p36 Deletion Syndrome and a mitochondrial disease. While she faced numerous health and medical challenges, she sure kept the medical community on their toes with her sass! Bella also bulldozed her way through Lansing. She brought many changes and perspective into the Medical Marijuana Industry. Changing patients’ lives. Bella attended Marion Crouse Instructional Center for six years. She loved school. She was in charge of the classroom and ran the bus! In fact, her love of her fairy gardening, JoAnn’s crafting, dancing and sun bathing came about because we had to entertain her during holiday breaks. She was the first student to bring her Service Dog, Theena, into the Genesse Intermediate School District. Bella was a pioneer in many different activities. She was a fierce force to be reckoned with. She had an infectious smile and a giggle that would change any mood and light up an entire room. She changed every soul she touched. Bella’s love continues to shine bright. 1 Thessalonians 5:10 HE died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. I will see you again one day, with him. Gabriella is survived by her parents Denny and Ida (Lancour) Chinonis; brothers: Calvin Kelly and Constantine Chinonis; Service Dog, Theena; grandparents: Sandra Chinonis, Joe Lancour, and Lavora Lancour; aunts and uncles: Elaine (Scott) Tomrell, Tina (Chris) Anganis, Petrina (Matthew) Stark, Sara (Andy) Garcia, and Joshua (Katie) Lancour; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gus Chinonis. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors on Saturday prior to the service, beginning at 11am. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to 1p36 Deletion Support & Awareness (1p36dsa.org). Bella loved bright colors but most of all pink and purple. Please wear a bright color that reminds you of Bella. We are celebrating her life.
