RUTHERFORD, Darlah Sue (White) – of Flint, MI, age 62, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Genesee Care Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Connie Lundy officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, March 30, 2017 and 1-2 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, 302 Kensington Ave., Flint, MI 48503, in Darlah’s memory. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Genesee Care Center, Reverence Hospice and Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute for their compassionate and professional care.
Darlah was born in Flint, MI on April 13, 1954, daughter of the late Bernard and Joyce (Johnson) White. She loved traveling, especially Hawaii where she visited twice. Darlah had a very generous heart and always thought of others needs before her own. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Darlah is survived by daughter, Melissa (Karry) Rutherford; son, Keith (Richard) Rutherford; 2 grandsons, Andrew and Luke; caregiver and niece, Caroline (Tammi) DesOrmeau; nephew, Jamie White; niece, Delima DesOrmeau; sister, Denise White; brother, Douglas White; many other loving family members and friends.
