Peggy Elizabeth Burris of Davison, age 90, died Thursday August 8, 2019 at the Pines of Goodrich. A Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday August 12, 2019 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Dorothea Weist officiating, entombment will follow at St. John Mausoleum. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Saturday and 1-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Peggy’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Peggy was born in Davison Michigan on October 26, 1928 the daughter of the late Clarence and Jennie (Hillier) Hill and had resided in the Davison area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Byrl Burris in 1968. Peggy was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1946, and member of Davison First Baptist Church. She was an avid quilter and had made numerous quilts for family and friends. She had been employed by Genesee County Drain Commission retiring in 1988.
Surviving is husband Byrl, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sister Betty Warson. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
