MacAlpine, Robert Alan - Age 75, of Burton, died Monday July 1, 2019. Funeral services will be held 6PM Tuesday, July 9, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Allen West officiating. Visitation will be held 4PM until time of service Tuesday. Robert was born January 22, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Elmer and Nevelyn (Rideout) MacAlpine. Mr. MacAlpine proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force for a total of 16 years. Robert retired from the U.S. Post Office with 20 years of service. He enjoyed collecting knives, guns, stamps and coins. Surviving are: children, Craig MacAlpine of Flint, Jodi (Allen) Mann of Flint, Michael MacAlpine of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, AJ.Mann, Taylor Mann, Logan MacAlpine, Heather Bowman, Caitlyn MacAlpine, Haley MacAlpine; five great grandchildren, Evelyn Bowman, Aubrey Bowman, Laylah Bowman, Addison Foster, and Christopher Jr Bowman. Robert is also survived by his sisters, Sonny (Al) Hansen of TN, Kay Churchhill of Grand Blanc; and many nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Shirley Down and Sue Haas.
