Assad T. Massoud, beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, reclaimed by God too soon on November 14, 2024.
After immigrating to the United States in 1984, he worked as a machinist for several years, and more recently in security and store management.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife and sons, his siblings, and his friends. He liked to be “out and about,” visiting, sharing food, and discussing recent sports events. His favorite sports were soccer and football.
He was a soft spoken, patient, kind-hearted, peace-keeping man with a generous and loving spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Nouhad Massoud. Surviving are wife Bonnie and sons Anthony and Alex (Belle). Siblings: Bassam (LindaLee), Samar (Khaled), Jaber (Eva), Sami (Mary), May (Jaber), Houssam, and Martha (Akram). Also surviving are Uncle Josef (Mona) Massoud and family. And many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins overseas.
Special gratitude to the Henry Ford/Genesys hospital care providers and also to The Medical Team Hospice.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 W. Hill. Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439, Rev Thomas Mattiuzzo of Every Nation church officiating.
Visitation at Swartz Funeral Home: Sunday, Nov 17th, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday 12:00pm until time of the service. Laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the family or to Every Nation Church, Missions Ministry.
