MENOSKY, JoAnn – of Mt. Morris, age 75, passed away November 26, 2014 at McLaren Flint. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, December 1, 2014 at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Monday at the church. A Memorial Service conducted by the P.L.A.V. will be held at 6 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the P.L.A.V. – Polish Legion American Veterans – Flint Post #8.
JoAnn was born in Flint, MI on March 7, 1939, daughter of the late Jesse and Maude (Buchanan) Meadows. She married Charles Menosky, whom she loved dearly, on October 29, 1955 and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1999. JoAnn was past State President of P.L.A.V. and past District 6 President of the American Legion. She loved working for and assisting the Veterans and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for 5 years. JoAnn took great joy with her children and grandchildren.
JoAnn is survived by her five children, Deborah (Mike) Macsuga, Charles (Janette) Menosky, Michael (Karla) Menosky, Steven (Tracy) Menosky and Patricia (Keith) Engberg; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings, Harold, Gerald and Betty. JoAnn instilled in her children at an early age the importance of having faith. They continue their Christian path, knowing that they will all be together again someday. The family would like to say an extra special thank you to the nursing staff and Doctors at McLaren Flint for all their wonderful care.
