HAGSTROM, Willa Mae R. – of Davison, MI, age 87, passed away March 29, 2018 at Springville Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Willa Mae was born in Lodi, Ohio on July 7, 1930, daughter of the late George B. and Grace (Metcalf) Read. She married William Hagstrom on June 24, 1950 at Davison Methodist Church. He predeceased her on March 9, 2006. Willa Mae was an avid member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Baker College in 1949 and worked at Buick Motor for nine years. Willa Mae retired from Consumer Energy in 1987 after 19 years of service.
Willa Mae is survived by her son, David and Mary Hagstrom of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Chad and Stacy Hagstrom, Brooke Hagstrom and Stephanie Hagstrom; two great-grandchildren, Julia and Cooper; sister, Marjorie (Allan) Siefert; brother, Richard (Joan) Read; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother George R. Read, Jr.
