DAVISON, Robert R. - Of Fenton, age 87, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am, Friday, May 17, 2013
at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide Street, Fenton,
Father Kurian Kollapallil, M.S.F.S. officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Genesee County Humane Society.
Visitation 5-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Robert was born in Pinconning, MI on September 8, 1925, the son of the late Orville and Alice (LaRouch) Davison. He married Theresa Agnes Murphy on September 13, 1947 in Flint and she preceded him in death in 1999. Robert retired from GM Buick after 38 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton.
Surviving are children, Robert, Jr. and wife Linda of Grand Blanc, Thomas A. and wife Nancy of Grosse Pointe, Joanne and husband Jim Honea of Grand Blanc, John W. and wife Kim of Flint;
grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, Kristen, Andrea, Curt, Samantha, Sarah;
great-grandchildren, McKenna, Brynn and Riley;
sister-in-law, Gertrude Davison of Burton;
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill.
