RUDDER, GARY L. M.D. of Grand Blanc, MI. passed away at McLaren Hospital in Flint on February 26th. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. till the time of service. Gary was born in Granite City, Illinois to Charles Luther Rudder and Naomi M. Rudder on August 13, 1938. Gary came from a large and loving family: Charles (Michele), Larry (Jeanette), Patricia (Robert) Johnson, Barbara Smith, Richard (deceased), and Naomi (Rick) Hampton. Gary received his Bachelor Degree from Southern Illinois University in 1960 and his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois in 1964. He served both his Internship and Residency in Radiology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Gary also served a fellowship in Angiography, Neuroradiology and Special Procedures at Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals in Detroit, Michigan. Gary married Margaret (Strachan) Rudder on June 15th, 1968. Recently Gary practiced radiology at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital and Caro Community Hospital. Gary was a life member of the AMA and a member of numerous medical societies. Gary is survived by his loving wife Margaret and daughter Danielle, as well as many brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Marge and Danielle are especially appreciative of Dr. S. Sahouri, Dr. F. Wadenstorer, Dr. T. Singh, and Dr. R. Salimi in the Flint area and Dr. K. Chou at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and to their office staffs for their compassion and many kindnesses. Thank you to all of our friends and to our family for their support during Gary's long illness and in particular to Kim Capton, Ken and Nancy Lee Fawcett, Pattie Wilson, Patric Trombley and most particularly to Steven C'Deco Waldron in the Flint area - and Justin Marley, Patrick Coulombe and Corlan Keller in the Albuquerque area. Thank you's also to the staff at McLaren Hospital for their incredible kindness and dedicated service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory to 10th Life Cat Shelter (a no-kill shelter staffed entirely by volunteers), 3415 Hull, Flint, Michigan 48507, in honor of his love of all animals would be greatly appreciated by the family.
