BALL, Carolyn Faye – Of Flint Township, age 68, one of God’s angels went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 12, 2011, after a two year victory over Pancreatic Cancer.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Bristol Road Church of Christ, 1315 West Bristol Road, Flint,
Dr. Brian Stogner officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Pan-Can, an organization for Pancreatic Cancer.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Ball will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
Carolyn was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 28, 1943, the daughter of Mary (Inman) Johnson and Harold Pendergraff. She moved to Michigan as a young girl and later met the love of her life, Greg Ball. They married on December 2, 1978.
She worked at McLaren Family Practice as a Nurse and retired after 30 years, in 2009.
Carolyn was a lifelong member of the Bristol Road Church of Christ and dedicated herself to helping others. She loved life and the many friends she made throughout it, but Carolyn’s greatest reward in life was her family.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Greg;
children, Ray (Teresa) Mack,
Jeff (Stephenie) Mack and
Becky (Jeremy) Trent;
step-children, Greg (Jill) Ball, Pam Vowell, David (Jennifer) Ball,
Mary Therese (Duane) Wismer;
grandchildren, Logan, Connor, Johnny, Katie Faye, Zach, Ryan, Dwayne, Dereck, Megan, Gage, Alyssia, Brevik and Barrett;
four great-grandchildren;
brothers and sisters, Rod Pendergraff (Susan Saxton-Pendergraff),
Linda Mann, Jeff (Amy) Pendergraff, Dawn (Earl) Jacobs, Mark (Paige) Pendergraff;
many nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Gloria Holt, Diane Baker, Nadine Forsythe and Nicole Tefft.
She will be welcomed into heaven by her mother, father and grandmother.
