Chaprnka, Pauline H. of Flushing, age 86, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at McLaren-Flint. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Paul Schwermer will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Robert Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Friday at Rossell Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church.
Pauline was born in Venice Twp. in Shiawassee Co. on February 8, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Misjak) Ocko. She married Joseph P. Chaprnka in Flushing on May 7, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1995.
Mrs. Chaprnka was an active member of St. Robert Catholic Church. She enjoyed flowers, taking pictures, and polka music and loved her family.
Pauline is survived by son, David and wife Stephanie Chaprnka of Greenville; five daughters, Cathy and husband Mike Kribs of Flushing, Marcia and husband Dan Loree of Davisburg, Mary and husband Larry Sheltraw of Linden, Debbie and husband Rick Morris of Linden, Colleen and husband Vlado Salic of Flint; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosie Wittbrodt of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Ocko; sister, Margaret Gregoricka; and a granddaughter, Jackie Morris.
