WHITING, Richard Lee – of Clio, age 78, passed away December 13, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place with private services being planned.
Richard was born in Flint, MI on July 21, 1936, son of the late Paul and Maude (Coates) Whiting. He married Molynne Murphy on August 4, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, MI. Richard retired from GM Ternstedt in 1995 after 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, being with his grandchildren, his dogs and camping at Houghton Lake was his favorite.
Richard is survived by his wife, Molynne; four children, Richard “Tom” (Torrey) Whiting, Tim Whiting, Theresa (David) Baldwin, Terry Whiting; four grandchildren, Tom, Talia, David and Travis; seven great-grandchildren, Levi, Ella, Cooper, Violet, Lucas, Kyleigh and Cayden; sister, Ruth Gear; several nieces and nephews.
