Kathy's journey began as the cherished daughter of Albin and Virginia [Daily], where she grew up alongside her siblings Linda Hess, Nancy Olchawa, and the late Allen Bonk. Her early years shaped the compassionate spirit that would define her life. Kathy's heart found its match when she married her beloved husband, Jerry, with whom she shared 54 years of unwavering partnership. Their love blossomed into a beautiful family, including their children Sherry (John) Wilson, Theresa (Drew) Woodall, and Jerry (Rachelle) Arender.
Throughout her life, Kathy's caring nature led her to a fulfilling career as a nurse assistant. Her gentle touch and warm presence brought comfort to countless individuals, reflecting her innate ability to care for others. Even after retirement, Kathy's involvement in her community and various associations remained a cornerstone of her life, showcasing her commitment to service and connection.
Kathy's interests were as rich and varied as her character. She found joy in the thrill of antiquing, seeking treasures that held stories of the past. Her love for excitement extended to trips to the casino and playing the lottery, where she embraced the possibility of fortune with a smile. Yet, it was the family get-togethers that truly captured Kathy's heart, as these moments allowed her to surround herself with the love and laughter of those she held dear.
Described as kind, thoughtful, and selfless, Kathy's legacy is carried on by her adoring family, including her grandchildren Jessica (Sabino), Hannah, Evelyn, Ericka, and Alexandra, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Silas, Emmett, her chihuahuas Piper and Cooper, along with other animals and furbabies. Each of them a reflection of her nurturing love and the values she instilled.
Kathy's departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, yet her spirit remains a guiding light. Her life was a beautiful mosaic of the love she gave and the lives she touched. As we bid farewell to Kathy Ann Arender, we celebrate a life lived with grace, a heart given freely to others, and a soul that will forever be remembered for its boundless generosity.
